David Minges, MD
Dr. David Minges is a Saint Louis native who grew up in St. Louis County, MO. While being driven for success at the youth and collegiate soccer levels, Dr. Minges developed a strong interest in sports related injuries, which inspired him to excel with the same level of excitement and commitment in the field of medicine. Dr. Minges went on to attend Creighton University School of Medicine for which he graduated in 2009. He then went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Nebraska for which he graduated in 2014.

Dr. Minges is a board-certified fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon who treats injured workers and athletes, as well as those with more chronic conditions of the spine. Dr. Minges treats all aspects of the spine and offers the best treatment options based upon the patient’s clinical condition and their diagnostic tests. When appropriate, further diagnostic tests may be recommended in order to further define the root cause of the problem. Nonoperative management is almost always the first line of treatment. In those rare instances when more urgent surgery is required, or when nonoperative management has failed, Dr. Minges has the training, experience, and expertise to recommend and perform the most well-suited operation in order to provide pain relief and improved function.
Furthermore, Dr. Minges is a leader in his field. He actively participates in consulting and development roles with industry leaders pertaining to spinal implants and biologics. His enthusiasm for the field of spinal surgery remains as high as ever, and this manifests in his patient care and continued growth professionally. He remains active in numerous academic societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the North American Spine Society. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
